About me
I initially trained as an occupational therapist, treating people with physical and mental health problems. Remaining in this field, I moved into management, working as an operational manager. During this time, I came across CBT, which immediately struck a chord with me, so much so that I wanted to learn more and train to become a therapist. Having worked as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist for a number of years in the NHS (in Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire), and now privately, I have seen how CBT can help people to make changes and lead more fulfilling lives.

I incorporate elements of Mindfulness, Compassion Focused Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy into my core CBT practice. I have experience of working with a wide range of problems and specialise in low self-esteem, anxiety conditions, PTSD and OCD. I have regular supervision in line with good practice guidelines, and attend training events to ensure that my knowledge is kept up to date.

I hold professional insurance, and practice within the codes of ethical and professional practice of the Health and Care Professional Council and the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies.
